Bead & Button Show - 2012
This past weekend, June 8-10, Milwaukee, WI, was host to the Bead & Button. The show features 370 vendors and artists showcasing their merchandise. But the show also has another feature, to showcase the work of artists in their Bead Dreams Competition. This year's 1st and 2nd place winner was none other than our very own Melanie Muir.

When it comes to crafty-ness, I've often been a CRASH test dummy: in other words, my craft closets are filled with products I've purchased, thinking they'd be the next best thing to sliced bread. Turns out they weren't. In some cases I'd had unrealistic expectations about the product, in others I used it incorrectly, and in a few cases the product was just downright awful.
Looking back, I'd have really liked to have known about Jenny Rohr's craft product review site, CraftTestDummies.com, before I'd spent my hard-earned pin money on something I'd never use. So with that in mind, I exchanged some email with Jenny and we talked about her work and her life, as well as picking her brain about her favorite polymer clay products!
